Years 1 to 6 (children aged 5 to 11 years)
Small classes ensure that all pupils receive an education tailored to bring out and develop their strengths and talents. Considerable care is taken by staff, guided by highly skilled specialists, to prepare activities and offer specific support and pastoral care within the classroom situation.
For their daily Maths and English lessons, the children from Year 4 to Year 6 are grouped according to ability rather than age, and the flexibility of this system enables us to teach each child at the appropriate level. Specialist teaching continues for French and Music and is introduced for Science, Art and PE.
In addition to the usual curriculum we offer some less common subjects, for example brain training games, motor skills sessions, cooking and sewing. Children are also encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
