Culture & The Arts

Students with talents and interests in art, music and drama are given every opportunity to develop their skills as well as their confidence and self esteem.

In our well-equipped Music Room, students are exposed to a wide range of musical influences. They also have the opportunity to take individual tuition in piano/keyboard, guitar, percussion and singing.

In the Art Studio, a wide range of media is used to encourage pupils of all ages to discover and develop their artistic skills. Visits to galleries and exhibitions  enhance their studies of Art and Art History.

Drama is taught in small groups and imaginative and interpretive skills are developed alongside those of speech and presentation.

As Ramillies is a small school every pupil has a chance to participate fully in the range of sports and activities provided - no-one is ever left on the sidelines.

Sport and PE form an important part of the curriculum and after school sporting activities including football, fitness and boxing are enthusiastically attended by a large number of pupils.

Our on site playing fields enable students throughout the school to benefit from enjoyable physical exercise and to develop sporting skills.

Ramillies also has its own heated swimming pool which is put to great use during the warmer months of the year.

The countryside surrounding the school is used regularly for walks and additional activities.
