Ramillies Hall

School & Nursery

Curriculum

At Ramillies, small classes ensure that each pupil receives an education designed to bring out and develop their strengths and talents. For their daily Maths and English lessons, the children from Year 4 to Year 6 are grouped according to ability rather than age, and the flexibility of this system enables us to teach each child at the appropriate level. Specialist teaching continues for French and Music and is introduced for Science, Art and PE. At the end of Year 6 most of our pupils go into the Senior School, but if appropriate, we prepare pupils to take the entrance examinations to selective independent senior schools.

In addition to the usual curriculum we offer some less common subjects, for example brain training games, motor skills sessions, cooking and sewing. Children are also encouraged to take part in a wide range of extracurricular activities.
