I have been the full time Headteacher at Ramillies for two years and I am privileged to be part of a team of staff who work hard in an appreciative and encouraging environment. In our nurturing school all successes are celebrated and this fosters a real sense of achievement for our pupils. We are a small school, full of enthusiastic, creative and energetic children, with an ambition to foster self-belief, resilience and confidence in all our pupils.
We are an inclusive school that values and promotes achievement, effort and positive conduct through praise and celebration. Respect for all, including the amazing world we live in, is at the heart of what we do on a daily basis. We believe that enabling children to get outdoors to learn, to experience curriculum subjects delivered in the outdoors, improves children’s wellbeing and promotes effective progress. Some of the most poignant times our pupils recall are those experiences where learning has built their life skills too; teamwork, creativity, leadership, all essential life skills in this busy world we live in.
At Ramillies, we have a team of staff who work extremely hard to ensure that learning is developed to the highest possible standard, stemming from the professionalism and commitment of those who work in the school. A positive, mutually supportive partnership between parents and school is also essential to ensure each of our children receives the best education possible. We encourage individual attainment and do not believe that pupils are the same. We work hard to deliver an enriched education that provides for the needs of each child.
If you are interested in sending your child to Ramillies, I would recommend that you come and see the school in action. We have Open Events every year and many school activity days. Parents are always welcome to make an appointment to arrange a visit at other times during the school day. Through a visit, you will get a sense of our unique atmosphere and what we have to offer.
